Housing Choices Australia
In June 2015 Kennedy Nolan was engaged by Housing Choices Australia (HCA) to undertake a schematic design & yield study for three existing HCA sites in Melbourne.
HCA is a national, not-for-profit housing association that creates safe, quality, affordable housing for people who are struggling to find a home in Australia’s challenging private rental market.
The aim of the study was to see if the density of the existing housing sites could be increased and to investigate the maximum site yield with due consideration of budgetary and planning constraints, and the HCA housing guidelines.
Following town planning approval on 2 of the 3 sites (Dandenong & Newport), Kennedy Nolan is now undertaking Design Development and Contract Documentation with the anticipation of construction beginning on these sites in early 2018.
